Midnight at the Cryo Lab- Recolor Pack 3

Happy Friday, everybody.

Overview

The Midnight overproject represents a return to my roots: sci-fi stuff. My original vision was much like Modular Furniture Series 4. The difference is that whereas MFS4 was utopian and clean-ish, Midnight is more gritty, for creating sinister, dystopian sets.

For Recolor Pack 3, there are a total of 12 walls, 12 floors, and 12 base textures divided into two “families”, along with a set of fences for each base texture. Since the base texture is the backbone of every object in the set, one recolor allows you to recolor over 400 (and growing every day) individual objects. As all of the base recolors for each “family” use the same texture for the keypad and border/base part of the map, you can mix and match them.

Additionally, there are five chair/cushion recolors (the original division colors, but without text.

For the Cool Blue family, I took my inpiration from the old anodized/blued steel wall and floor sets by pixelhate and bluetexasbonnie. The Institutional family is great for making sterile/clinical environments. How will you decorate your space station, science lab, or evil lair? You decide.

Note: this is a recolor pack only. The furniture sets must be downloaded separately.

  1. Hey there. Yeah, the cushion recolors were Coni's suggestion. The original textures look cool, but there are times where you don't need the letters. I can't imagine quite how they would look on the Nooks & Niches. The sterile white textures might look okay, but the ones with higher contrast/more detail might not be the best choice. I mean, they would be great for the big columns, but with niches/alcoves/borders/edges, they might not jibe perfectly.

  2. Hey there! Liking the new set of recolours, and especially the non-text recolours. Yes!Just an FYI – I've extracted your walls for the RC sets and applied them to Buggybooz's Niches & Nooks. They don't look too bad. They work, and I have even more decor options. ;-)Thank You, dude!
